Meet the Team

Our work is organized into three specialized sub-teams that collaborate to bring our concept from design to implementation:

Multidisciplinary Engineering (MDE) Team: Leads the turbine design and prototyping, including blade geometry development and iterative fabrication. This team is also responsible for CAD modeling and initial prototyping of the generator to support electrical integration. In addition, MDE coordinates system-level design decisions to ensure compatibility between mechanical and electrical subsystems.

Mechanical Engineering (ME) Team: Focuses on analytical validation and performance characterization of the system. This includes thermal-fluid analysis, structural evaluation, and experimental testing such as Prony brake dynamometer testing to quantify torque, power output, and overall efficiency.

Electrical Engineering (EE) Team: Responsible for the electrical design, assembly, and testing of the generator system. This includes electromagnetic design validation, circuit integration, and performance testing to ensure efficient and stable energy conversion.

Together, we combine expertise across disciplines to tackle real-world hydropower challenges through technical innovation, data-driven design, and collaboration with industry mentors. Our collective mission is to advance the role of hydropower within the modern renewable energy landscape and to prepare ourselves as the next generation of engineers driving the clean energy transition.
